Yesterday, 09.09.17, was the World Pullup Day and here in Munich happened the great Calisthenics for Bavaria event, organised by Pullup & Dips, Ykings and Barlions. The mains goal of the event: Find out who was the strongest athlete in Bavaria!
So, when my friend Felix asked me to be the official photographer for the event, I was more then glad to join it.
Being a personal trainer, fitness events are always of great interest for me and a calisthenic event could not be any different.
The mains exercises the competition were: Pull Ups, Muscle Ups, Dips and Squats. I have never tried doing muscle ups to be honest, but Pull Ups and Dips have been part of my own trainings since I was a kid imitating my father at home, and squats are a big part of my training since I started with fitness.
The athletes were amazing, great conditioning and strength. It is great to see what those exercises can do to your body.
We had a male heavy weight, male light weight and a team competition.
For the male competitors we had:
1st Place: Andi
2nd Place: Gregor
3rd Place: Tobi
For the light weight:
1st Place: Felix and Consti (both with same amount of points)
3rd Place: Chris
And for the women:
1st Place: Isy
2nd Place: Sarah
3rd Place: Sophia
As I started, I was happy to be in the event and take part of it as a photographer. Congratulation to all the participants!
